NAAB continually evolves, responding to changes in the landscape for architecture education and improving the ways we serve programs, students, volunteers, and the public. NAAB considers input from stakeholders to be an important component of any process of revision to the Conditions or Procedures.
The NAAB Board of Directors therefore proposes the following revisions to the NAAB 2020 Procedures for Accreditation for public comment.
Revision to Procedures
In our ongoing efforts to streamline and improve the accreditation process, the Board of Directors has proposed the following updates to the 2020 Procedures for Accreditation:
- Revisions to the Corrections of Errors of Fact and Program’s Optional Response to the Visiting Team Report (p. 16).
- Revisions to the Reconsideration Process and the addition of an Appeal Policy (p. 46).
- Addition of the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI Systems) in Accreditation on (Appendix 2, p. 53).
- Change of Nomenclature: Changing the name of the "Plan to Correct" to a "Progress Report," which more aptly reflects the process of returning to compliance.
- Miscellaneous revisions, included throughout the document.
