Description of Fees

The eligibility application fee is a one-time fee paid by programs that are submitting an eligibility application for candidacy.

The APR fee is paid by programs only in a year in which they submit an APR for an upcoming site visit for candidacy, initial accreditation, or continuing accreditation. The fee covers NAAB's administrative costs of reviewing the APR and managing the site visit.

The site visit fee is paid by programs only in a year in which they host a site visit for candidacy, initial accreditation, or continuing accreditation. The fee is determined by the number of site visitors and covers NAAB's administrative costs of managing the site visit. The fee does not cover direct expenses incurred by the NAAB visiting team for the purpose of the visit, such as transportation, lodging, and meals.

The annual fee is paid by accredited programs on an annual basis and covers the costs of NAAB's core accreditation services. Annual fees are assessed beginning the first year after a program receives initial accreditation. Programs' assigned fee tiers will be determined from the prior year's annual report data or the APR for Initial Accreditation. Programs in candidacy do not pay an annual fee.
