Call for Public Comment on Proposed Revisions to 2020 Procedures for Accreditation

To foster improvement in architecture education through accreditation, NAAB seeks to continually evolve the way we serve programs, volunteers, and the public. A key component of this growth is grounded in the input we seek from our stakeholders. When NAAB proposes revisions to the Procedures, the Board seeks public feedback on those modifications prior to their approval and implementation.

The NAAB Board of Directors has proposed for public comment, August 1–September 1, 2025, the following revisions to the NAAB Procedures for Accreditation.

Terms of Accreditation

In response to feedback from programs, the Board proposes clarification regarding the terms of accreditation following an expiration of accreditation but before the Board makes a final decision on accreditation status.
