Explanatory Notes

NAAB provides explanatory notes on Focused Evaluations, Annual Reports, and the NCARB Two-Year Rule.
On April 1, 2009, the 2009 NAAB Procedures for Accreditation went into effect. This edition governs all accreditation actions from April 1 onward. Since then, NAAB staff has been fielding a number of inquiries about Focused Evaluations (Section 6), the Annual Report Submission Systems (ARS) (Section 10), and the “two-year rule” promulgated by the National Council for Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). To aid program administrators, the NAAB has prepared explanatory notes on these matters.
