On April 1, the National Architectural Accrediting Board Procedures for Accreditation, 2009 Edition will go into effect. These procedures will apply to all accreditation actions undertaken after that date, including focused evaluations scheduled for 2009.

On February 18, 2011, the Board of Directors of the National Architectural Accrediting Board approved the first reading of the NAAB Procedures for Accreditation, 2011 Edition. The document is now ready for review and comment by the general public.
The report presents information on accreditation actions and accredited programs on an annual basis. The decisions represented in this report were all made on the basis of visits and Visiting Team Reports submitted in 2011; these decisions were all effective January 1, 2011.

Since 2009, the NAAB releases a report each year on accreditation in architecture education that includes statistics collected by aggregating data submitted by institutions in their annual reports.
The next NAAB team member training workshop will be on Wednesday, May 16 on the campus of The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) met for the regular summer meeting July 14-16, 2011 in Seattle, Washington. During the meeting the Board took several actions.
The annual Report on Architecture Education raw results for the 2011-2012 academic year included first-time enrollment, total enrollment, and degrees awarded for NAAB-accredited programs and preprofessional programs offered by institutions that also offers NAAB-accredited degrees.
The NAAB launched its online Annual Report Submission (ARS) site in fall 2008. Seven institutions classified as HBCUs offer a total of eight NAAB-accredited programs. One offers both the B. Arch. and the M. Arch. Three offer an M. Arch. only, and three offer a B. Arch. only.
